A Northumberland dairy farmer (200 cows) with a 17% starch ration used Optipartum-C+ for 30 days. He recorded cow performance pre and post the addition of OC+. After noticing an improvement in the dung consistency in the first week, he then saw his average yield increase by 2+ litres, from 25 to over 27 litres.
When comparing DIM data across the herd, it's clear to see that not only are the cows now peaking higher, the lactation curve on all cows has been extended.
The farmer also observed a significant improvement in bulling rates, attributable to the cows gaining more energy from the same ration.
